There is a special district in Novosibirsk called Akademgorodok (or Academy Town in English). This place is considered to be a scientific center of Novosibirsk and the whole Siberian region: there located the major Novosibirsk university, research institutes and the Technology Park. The latter is what I am going to show you today.

Vova and I are exposed to mainstream culture, that’s why last autumn we’d looked at a great number of the night sky photos and tried it ourselves. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t turn out to be very successful for a variety of reasons.
You can’t even imagine how many photos accumulated on my laptop during these months. Now I have more free time that’s why I’ll try to share them.

Strangely enough, but there exist a big difference between Siberia as a geographical region and as a Russian federal district: the former is bigger as contains more areas. That’s why not every Russian can say where Siberia is located and where its boundaries are. Continue reading
Recently (about 10 years ago) relatively high buildings began to appear in our city. I say “relatively”, because in other countries one may see higher buildings. Here, in Novosibirsk, a 25-storey house is cosidered to be really high in comparison with ordinary 5-, 10-storey ones.
I like roofs of such buildings, here you may see the city spread out behind you.
